Design 1269 Barunita
This big motorsailer was so very typical of the period. She was buily by Hodgdon Brothers - Goudy & Stevens of East Boothbay, Maine. I can't figure out of that means the construction was a joint venture between the shipyards which were located next door to each other or if the yard ownership was the same.
She is constructed with white oak structural members and single planked in mahogany. Fastenings are silicon bronze. She was launched in 1957.
